The Plaintiffs Executive Committee (PEC) in the NHL Players’ Concussion Injury Litigation reached a tentative settlement between retired NHL players and the NHL. The proposed, voluntary settlement covers retired NHL players who filed claims or retained counsel in the multidistrict litigation (MDL) proceedings as of the settlement date. The Settlement establishes a Common Good Fund that will be available to support the health and welfare of any retired NHL player in need, including those who did not participate in the MDL proceedings.
Details on the benefits of the settlement can be found in the Plaintiffs Executive Committee press release.
