Daniel Gustafson Recognized as a Minnesota Icon Honoree

Gustafson Gluek is proud to announce that Dan Gustafson, a founding member of the firm, has been recognized as a 2023 Minnesota’s Icon Honoree.

This recognition is awarded to individuals who have made a lasting impact on Minnesota’s business and legal communities and Dan Gustafson’s career exemplifies this principle.

Like his fellow honorees, Dan’s lengthy and accomplished career includes being appointed to the leadership of many of the largest antitrust and consumer cases nationwide.  Over the years, Dan’s efforts have helped secure hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients. But even as Dan vigorously advocates for his clients, he sets an example of how to litigate with civility and respect for all involved in often contentious litigation.  As a leader in our firm and in the legal community, Dan uses his experience and knowledge to mentor the next generation of lawyers.

Dan constantly strives to help those whose voices may often be ignored get their day in court. In 2009, Dan helped establish the Minnesota Federal Bar Association’s Pro Se project, which matches lawyers in Minnesota with pro se litigants in federal court.  Within the first 10 years over 1,370 individuals were served through the Pro Se Project.  In 2019 Dan was given a lifetime achievement award for his work with the project and his commitment to improving access to justice for the underserved in our community.

Dan will be honored at the December 7, 2023 celebration. All of us at Gustafson Gluek congratulate Dan for this prestigious award and his continued work in the legal community.
