Gustafson Gluek PLLC Closes Firm for Election Day; Joins Time To Vote Coalition and Calls on all Law Firms to Join this Effort

Gustafson Gluek PLLC is a strong advocate and proven leader in fighting for equal access to justice. A vital component of the access to justice is access to the ballot box.  The right to cast a vote is one that has been and continues to be fought for throughout the history of the United States.

The current national pandemic has presented many difficult and often overwhelming challenges for the people in our country.  These challenges and their related uncertainty threaten to undermine the fundamental right to vote.

To eliminate any uncertainty or angst about taking the necessary time to vote, Gustafson Gluek will be closed on November 3, 2020, election day and as a paid holiday.  This additional paid holiday is to allow all members of the firm to vote without worry or penalty.  Gustafson Gluek also urges everyone to consider volunteering in the election process to ensure access to the polls is available to all.  Voting is the lynchpin of democracy – and now more than ever it is time to support and encourage every member of society to exercise that power and to assist others in doing the same.

We urge all law firms across Minnesota and the nation to join the efforts to promote the voting process on November 3, 2020.  Close your firms, give your people time to vote and volunteer and stand up for the democratic process that underlies equal access to justice.
