Gustafson Gluek Represents Protesters in Suit Against City of Minneapolis
On August 6, 2020 Gustafson Gluek filed a case alleging Minneapolis Police Department officers used excessive force in the form of “less-lethal” weapons against persons protesting police brutality in the wake of the George Floyd murder. The complaint describes multiple incidents where peaceful protests were met with tear gas, pepper spray and rubber bullets. The Plaintiffs seek not only monetary damages, but also declaratory relief that the Minneapolis Police Department has engaged in a pattern and practice of excessive force.
