Settlements in DRAM Indirect Purchaser Antitrust Litigation
Lead Counsel for the Indirect Purchaser Plaintiffs today announced that settlements have been reached with nearly all the remaining defendants in a longstanding antitrust litigation currently pending in federal court in the Northern District of California, as well as in state courts throughout the United States. The total of all settlements reached in this case so far is over $285 million. This is one of the largest settlements ever of an indirect purchaser antitrust case in the United States.The underlying lawsuit includes numerous private complaints against Defendants, as well as actions brought by several State Attorneys General, all alleging that the Defendants engaged in anti-competitive conduct with respect to Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM).Defendants involved in the settlement announced today include: Infineon Technologies AG, Infineon Technologies North America Corp., and Qimonda AG; Elpida Memory, Inc. and Elpida Memory (USA), Inc.; NEC Electronics America, Inc; Mosel Vitelic Corp. and Mosel Vitelic, Inc.; Micron Technology, Inc. and Micron Semiconductor Products, Inc.; and Hynix Semiconductor, Inc. and Hynix Semiconductor America, Inc. Nanya Technology Corp. and Nanya Technology Corp.
