AOL Search Data Settlement

AOL Inc. has entered into a class action settlement agreement with the plaintiff in Landwehr v. AOL Inc.  The lawsuit alleges that AOL violated certain privacy and consumer protection laws by making class members’ search queries available for download on the Internet in 2006.The Court gave preliminary approval to the class action settlement on December 21, 2012.  Money damages are available to class members, who may need to submit their claims as early as July 26, 2013.  The Court also appointed as settlement class counsel the law firms of Gustafson Gluek PLLC and Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC.For more information, please visit www.AOLSearchDataSettlement.com.
