Court Approves AOL Search Data Settlement
Today, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia gave final approval to a class action settlement in Landwehr v. AOL Inc. The lawsuit alleged that AOL violated certain privacy and consumer protection laws by making class members’ search queries available for download on the Internet in 2006.
