MN Unclaimed Property Case to Proceed

Last Wednesday, Ramsey County District Court Judge Shawn M. Bartsh ruled that plaintiffs' case against the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce can proceed.The Plaintiffs, who are represented by Gustafson Gluek PLLC, brought their case alleging the state does not provide adequate notice when it seizes "unclaimed" private property and does not adequately compensate owners if and when the property is returned.Gustafson Gluek partner Dan Hedlund was interviewed by the Pioneer Press and KSTP regarding the decision.
