Gustafson Gluek is proud to announce that Brittany Resch has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2021 “Up & Coming Attorney.”  Minnesota Lawyer honors a small group of attorneys in their first ten years of practice for their outstanding professional accomplishments, leadership in the community, and commitment to the profession.  Honorees are selected by an outside panel and the leadership of Minnesota Lawyer.

Brittany joined Gustafson Gluek PLLC as an associate in June 2016, after clerking for the Honorable Richard H. Kyle, Senior United States District Judge, District of Minnesota. Since joining the firm, Brittany has been practicing primarily in the area of antitrust litigation.  She represents small businesses and individuals in pursuing their claims, often against some of the largest corporations in the world, and in courts across the country.   Currently, she is working on the In re Broiler Chicken Antitrust Litigation, primarily coordinating and managing the discovery of 31 class representative restaurants, the In re Pork Antitrust Litigation, and the In re DPP Beef Litigation.

In addition to her antitrust practice, Brittany has made it a priority to give back via leadership positions in bar organizations and pro bono work. She is an active member of the Minnesota Federal Bar Association, serving on the Community Outreach/Court Camp Committee, as well as the Membership Committee. She is also a member of the Minnesota Women Lawyer’s Partner Leadership Council, a role she was appointed to serve in as an emerging leader at her firm, through which she has advocated for the advancement of women attorneys across the legal community.

Over the last several years, Brittany has worked on multiple pro bono matters including a case where Brittany and her co-counsel successfully advocated on behalf of a woman alleging she suffered religious discrimination while she was detained at the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center. For her work on the case, Brittany and her co-counsel were named Attorneys of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer in 2019 for their successfully helping a pro se litigant navigate the federal courts via the Federal Bar Association’s Pro Se Project.

While in law school at the University of Minnesota Law School, she worked as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office and Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. Brittany also provided representation to low-income persons with consumer-protection issues as a certified student attorney and served as a judicial extern for the late Honorable Steven E. Rau, Magistrate Judge, District of Minnesota.
