Exploring Minnesota's MeToo Tax Repeal: Insights by Abou Amara and Karla Gluek

Abou Amara, Jr. and Karla Gluek recently co-authored “Minnesota’s #MeToo Tax is Finally Gone” for a recent issue of Bench + Bar of Minnesota, a publication of the Minnesota State Bar Association.

The article explores the Minnesota Legislature’s recent amendments to state law, now exempting sexual harassment and assault financial settlements from taxation. Soon after the new Minnesota law exempting sexual harassment settlement from state taxation took effect, Abou and Karla successfully negotiated one of the first settlements under the new law.

Congratulations to Abou and Karla for their dedication and work on this issue.
