Gustafson Gluek Welcomes Three New 2026 Summer Law Clerks
Gustafson Gluek is thrilled to announce the addition of three talented summer law clerks for 2026. Please join us in welcoming Aurora Yin, Deena Al-Ali, and Nick Ford. We are excited to see the contributions these exceptional individuals will bring to our firm this summer!
From left to right: Deena Al-Ali, Aurora Yin, and Nick Ford.
Aurora Yin
Aurora joins Gustafson Gluek after finishing her first year at the University of Minnesota Law School. She holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy (Mind, Brain, and Behavior) from Harvard University.
During her first year at law school, Aurora became involved with volunteering with the Minnesota Justice Foundation, where she honed her research and communication skills. She is also an active member of the Women Law Student Association and was elected to serve as the Diversity Outreach Chair for the upcoming school year. In addition, Aurora is excited to work as a student instructor for the Legal Research and Writing course.
Originally from Beijing, China, Aurora has lived in several states in the U.S. and is currently located in Minneapolis, MN. She enjoys exploring local restaurants and markets, doing arts and crafts, and playing video games. She is also working hard to curate a balcony garden and would love to learn more about foraging (mushrooms, in particular).
Aurora is thrilled to be spending her summer at Gustafson Gluek and gaining practical legal experience. After law school, she hopes to adopt a puppy.
Deena Al-Ali
Deena joins Gustafson Gluek after finishing her first year at the University of Minnesota Law School. She holds degrees in Political Science and International Studies from Loyola University Chicago. After graduation, Deena spent a year working at a law firm and as a substitute teacher with Chicago Public Schools.
During her first year at law school, Deena became actively involved in the Muslim Law Students Association and the Women of Color Collective and was elected to serve in board positions for both organizations for the upcoming school year. In addition, Deena was selected as an SSG 2.0 Student Instructor, where she will support first year students in adapting to law school and working through alienating experiences such as imposter syndrome and stereotype threat, all while building community and trust.
As a native Chicagoan, Deena is a huge Bears fan and a firm believer that the Chicago style hot dog is supreme. In her free time, you can find her Face Timing her adorable nieces and nephews, perfecting a new recipe (on her terrible electric stove), finding the best strawberry matcha in Minneapolis, and going on walks. Her favorite show is a tie between the Golden Girls, Schitts Creek, and Hacks. She loves all kinds of music, but remains loyal to her favorite artist, Drake.
Deena is thrilled to be spending her summer at Gustafson Gluek and gaining practical experience. She looks forward to learning from the attorneys and exploring what antitrust law entails
Nick Ford
Nick joins Gustafson Gluek after finishing his second year at the University of Minnesota School of Law. He holds a B.A. in History from Carleton College. Nick participated in Minnesota Law’s moot court during his second year and will be returning to the program as a student instructor in the fall.
Nick previously clerked at Eckberg Lammers P.C. after his first year of law school. He greatly appreciates that his commute to the office now is a tenth of what it was last year.
Originally from Bloomington, Indiana, Nick lives in Minneapolis. He is looking forward to spending the summer exploring the many parks and walking trails that scatter the Twin Cities and hopefully get a chance to read something that isn’t a casebook. Nick is happiest when at home watching a paranoid thriller or crime movie from the 1970s, but he’s lately been watching a ton of old noir movies.
After law school, Nick hopes to continue litigating corporate misconduct while advocating for the economic interests of ordinary American consumers and small businesses.
