Gustafson Gluek Proud to Announce New Partners Tony Stauber and Abou Amara, Jr.
Tony Stauber
Since joining Gustafson Gluek in 2021, Tony has made significant contributions to our antitrust and consumer protection practice areas. Tony is a key member of many antitrust teams including in Ray v. NCAA (E.D. Cal.) where Gustafson Gluek serves as one of three co-leads who has recently obtained final approval of a $303 million settlement and in In re Cattle & Beef Antitrust Litig. (D. Minn.) and In re Broiler Chicken Antitrust Litig. (N.D. Ill.), which involved horizontal conspiracies in the beef and chicken industries.
Tony is an active member of the Minnesota state and Federal Bar associations and has been heavily involved in other legal organizations, including serving as co-chair of the Amicus Committee for the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL) from 2024-2025. He has authored amicus curiae briefs in significant cases such as Scharpf v. General Dynamics Corp. (4th Cir.), World Ass’n. of Ice Hockey Players Unions v. NHL (9th Cir.), and In re NFL Sunday Ticket Antitrust Litig. (9th Cir.). He has also contributed to chapters in the American Bar Association’s Rule of Reason Handbook (2026) and the Antitrust Law Developments (10th Edition, forthcoming). Tony was selected as Up and Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer in 2023, was recognized as North Star Lawyer by the Minnesota State Bar Association in 2022-2024 and was awarded Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement by a Young or Newly Admitted Lawyer Award by the American Antitrust Institute in 2025.
Abou Amara, Jr.
Abou has been a vital part of Gustafson Gluek since 2021, representing individuals and businesses in a variety of antitrust, business, constitutional, civil rights, defamation, and employment matters. Abou has played a key role in several complex class action cases, including serving as Deputy Liaison Counsel in In re Granulated Sugar Antitrust Litig. (D. Minn.), and as court-appointed co-lead counsel in In re Bank of America Unauthorized Account Opening Litig. (W.D.N.C.).
Abou has received significant recognition for his excellent practice, including being named a “Rising Star” for four consecutive years by Super Lawyers; named a “Top Lawyer in Minnesota” twice by Minnesota Monthly Magazine, named an Up and Coming Attorney in 2022 by Minnesota Lawyer, and being named Outstanding Newer Lawyer of the Year in 2022 by the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Before joining the firm, Abou clerked on the Minnesota Supreme Court and served as a top advisor to the Minnesota Speaker of the House. Abou continues to be active in various state and federal bar associations in Minnesota and remains a frequent media commentator across Minnesota and nationally on law, politics, and public affairs.
