Judge Approves Settlement in Poultry Price-Fix Suit

Illinois federal judge Thomas M. Durkin gave his preliminary approval to a $2.95 million settlement between poultry producer Amick Farms LLC and a group of indirect buyers over an alleged price-fixing conspiracy. Judge Durkin also certified the settlement class of indirect buyers that had purchased chickens for commercial food preparation.
