Gustafson Gluek Recognized for MSOP Pro Bono Case
In its latest issue of Bar Talk, the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association recognized Gustafson Gluek for accepting the "most notable" case thus far referred by the Pro Se Project in 2012.The case involves involves a potential class of more than 600 individuals who are committed to the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP). The named individuals have alleged constitutional violations stemming from, inter alia: lack of medical/psychological treatment, infringement on freedom of religion, unreasonable searches and seizures, and invasion of privacy.Dan Gustafson agreed to represent the named individuals and also move for class certification to include all MSOP individuals in a single case. Gustafson Gluek has already filed an Amended Complaint and is pursuing relief on behalf of the named individuals as well as the class.
