Panel Recommends Release of MSOP Patient
Following a recommendation by the panel appointed by U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank that a man being held in the Minnesota Sex Offender Program ("MSOP") be released, Judge Frank has ordered Minnesota Department of Human Services ("DHS") officials to explain why the patient should not be released. The patient was committed to the MSOP at the age of 19 for actions he engaged in between the ages of 10 to 14. For more information, see the Star Tribune.
