Toilet Connectors Settlement Reached
Gustafson Gluek, as co-counsel representing a Class of consumers who purchased toilet connectors with plastic coupling nuts manufactured by Watts Water Technologies between 1999 and July 2009, reached a settlement with defendant Watts, Inc., in Trabakoolas v. Watts, Inc. The $23 million settlement, which was approved by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, provides class members with a replacement toilet connector and/or up to 25% of the costs of repair associated with damage from a failed Watts toilet connector.Class members who have not experienced property damage must submit their claims by August 5, 2015. Class members who suffered property damage between January 1, 2009 and January 1, 2012 must submit their claims by August 5, 2015.
